Description

A rare, closed-distillery single grain Scotch from the Port Dundas distillery in the Lowlands of Scotland.

Distilled in 2000, this spirit spent 25 years maturing in a single cask before being bottled at natural cask strength (51% ABV) by us at Bartels Whisky.

As a single grain whisky from a now demolished site, independently-bottled releases like this are praised for their sweet, creamy grain character with subtle spice and oak complexity, typical of well-aged Lowland grain whiskies.

Nose:
  • Vanilla cream and caramel with light coconut and toasted oak.
Palate:
  • Silky and refined in texture backed up with layers of butterscotch, sweet cereal grain and golden syrup.
Finish:
  • Elegant, lingering vanilla, polished oak and a hint of spice.
