Description
This single cask bottling showcases Dalmore in a bold and slightly unconventional style.
Distilled in 2015 and matured for a decade, the whisky began its life in an ex-Islay hogshead, absorbing layers of coastal peat smoke and briny maritime character not usually associated with Dalmore’s typically rich Highland style. For its final maturation, the spirit was reracked into a sherry butt, where it developed notes of sweetness and a touch of spice.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.7% ABV, this is Dalmore as it’s seldom seen — a unique interplay of smoky undertones and sherried richness.
Only 120 bottles were decanted from the butt, with the excess liquid remaining in wood for further maturation…
